Riviera River Cruises' 140-guest MS Lord Byron has undergone a refurbishment ahead of the 2024 river cruise season, during which it will sail Rhone River itineraries in France.

The 2013-built ship received updates to its public areas, cabins and its La Brasserie restaurant (at the ship’s stern) during the renovation.

“Our much-loved ship Lord Byron is starting this season with a bit of a new look, thanks to a refurbishment that will elevate the onboard experience,” said Marilyn Conroy, executive vice president of sales and marketing for North America at Riviera River Cruises. “We expect the new furniture and carpeting, as well as the new design and decor of the La Brasserie restaurant, will provide a warm and inviting environment for guests on our Rhone River itineraries.”

New furniture was installed in the ship’s lounge, restaurants and cabins, while new carpeting was laid throughout the vessel. La Brasserie restaurant received a full renovation with a fresh design, new decor and a menu inspired by classic and contemporary French bistros and brasseries along the Rhone River.

The 360-foot-long Lord Byron features amenities across four decks, including a sun deck with a pool and putting green, an observation lounge, a main restaurant, a spa and a wellness area. It accommodates guests in 74 cabins and suites, ranging from 161-square-foot standard staterooms up to 242-square-foot deluxe suites.

All accommodations feature amenities such as double or twin bed configurations, rain showers, flat-screen televisions, air conditioning, coffee/tea makers and more.

Riviera operates one of Europe's youngest river cruise fleets. Inclusive pricing covers fine dining, drinks, shore excursions and more, while gratuities are at clients’ discretion.
